What is Golden Hour?
Golden hour refers to the period shortly after sunrise and before sunset when the sun is low in the sky. The light during this time has a warm, golden quality that's incredibly flattering for portraits.

Planning Your Shoot
Golden hour doesn't last long – typically about an hour. I always plan to arrive at the location early to find the best spots and be ready when the light is perfect.
Working with the Light
During golden hour, I love to position my subjects with the sun behind them, creating a beautiful rim light around their hair and shoulders. This backlit look is romantic and ethereal.
